Back in July, Apple announced to offer every iPhone 4 user a free case to mitigate the antenna issue. With a recent update from Apple, the free case program is coming to an end soon with the official deadline of September 30th.

Here is what Apple said in its official website:

We now know that the iPhone 4 antenna attenuation issue is even smaller than we originally thought. A small percentage of iPhone 4 users need a case, and we want to continue providing them a Bumper case for free. For everyone else, we are discontinuing the free case program on all iPhone 4s sold after September 30, 2010.

After September 30th, Apple will return to the original returns policy and the iPhone 4 free case program will discontinue. If you purchase iPhone 4 after the date and experience the antenna issue, Apple said you can call up AppleCare and request for a free bumper.

For those already own an iPhone 4, don’t forget to claim your free case now. To get the case, you need to download the iPhone 4 case program from App Store. For detailed procedures, you can further check out the earlier post.

By the way, you must apply within 30 days of your iPhone 4 purchase. I forgot to claim my free case after the purchase and the offer is already expired for my iPhone 4! So go ahead and get the free iPhone case before the offer expires.
