The jailbreaking community is divided on this hasty exploit, because it's forcing the iPhone Dev Team to delay a release, lest Apple kill Geohot's limera1n and the Dev Team's upcoming release with one software update. If you've previously unlocked your iPhone using the Dev Team's ultrasn0w, limera1n may re-lock it. Even if this is your first jailbreak, you'll want to proceed with caution when using limera1n. Engadget found that the icons for some stock Apple apps were missing after the jailbreak.
