An Italian iPhone blog has uncovered references to some interesting photo effects in the just-released iOS 4.3 beta. It's not clear which iPhone and iPad apps will be able to make use of these effects -- including Thermal camera, X-ray, Kaleidoscope, Tunnel of light, Collapse, Turbines and Glow -- but rumors are now flying about possible Photo Booth and iChat apps coming to iOS devices.MacStories speculates that the effects might be added to an updated Camera.app, which would certainly be interesting (especially if they could be applied to videos, as in Photo Booth and iChat for OS X). Another rumor has the features pegged for inclusion in a FaceTime update. Some of these filters aren't part of current OS X apps, so it will be interesting to see what they look like on the iPhone, and whether they're eventually added to Apple's desktop lineup as well.
