When I was a kid, I used to love LEGOs. Building intricate systems out of bricks is just a lot of fun. Isoball 2 is a lovely time-waster that captures some of that fun. There's a glass ball in the wall, and when you hit Start, that ball is released. It has to get to the hole in the floor (on the left side of the screenshot).
The ball can't fall too hard on the floor. In fact, it can't fall at all. You get a very limited set of bricks, which you have to use to build a path for the ball. Many of the bricks are used to form a ramp, but some also change the direction of the ball.
By providing a nice slope for the ball to roll down and strategically placing the "direction shifters," you should be able to get the ball to where it needs to go.
The first few levels are incredibly easy, but then it gets tough. The level shown in the screenshot is fairly difficult (that's level seven).
Like many of these games, its main weakness is in the soundtrack; I wish they'd go for something more acoustic. The graphics are beautiful, though, and the isometric perspective really works.Isoball 2 is a LEGO-like, isometric Time-Waster originally appeared on Download Squad on Tue, 17 Aug 2010 13:00:00 EST.
