I just posted a hacky, roundabout way of reading digital comics files on your iPhone, but ComicBookLover promises something better: an iTunes-like digital comics organizer that syncs between your Mac, iPhone and/or iPad. The mobile apps are still in pre-alpha and they require wi-fi to sync, but it's nice to know that a comprehensive solution for your digital comics is on the way.
The desktop version of the reader is pretty well-thought-out, although the 25-dollar price tag to remove a big watermark from your comics is a bit steep. Navigating and zooming in and out are a cinch, and you can quickly switch from showing one page at a time to two pages, or even switch to manga mode to read comics from right-to-left, Japanese-style. If it weren't for the syncing, though, I'd say ComicBookLover doesn't destroy free competitors like Sequential or Simple Comic.
