Bump, the app that lets users exchange contact info and photos by bumping their phones together, now also lets you exchange music. With the latest update to Bump for iOS, you can pick any song in your iTunes library and send it to a friend via Bump. Don't get too excited, though: we're not talking about full-on file transfer, here. Bumping a song just lets your friend stream the entire track via YouTube or click an iTunes "buy" link.Bump already lets you share photos and Address Book info, become instant friends on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, and even transfer money via PayPal. Photo sharing is apparently the most popular feature, though, so music is a logical next step.
Unfortunately, sharing your music files themselves won't fly for Bump under Apple's current terms of service and developer APIs, so users will have to make due with the clever YouTube streaming and iTunes Music Store combo.
