So Sebastian is MIA again this week and there's not a whole heck of a lot to report on the Firefox front -- apart from two big additions in the most recent Firefox nightlies. Let's start there, and then we'll open the floor for your comments!
Tab Candy and Firefox Sync go mainstream!
It's been a long time coming for Firefox Sync, but what started out as a twinkle in Mozilla Labs' eye as Weave has finally been affixed to the Fox's undercarriage. Like tabbed browsing, sync has become a standard feature in most modern browsers so it's nice to see Mozilla shift the functionality from an optional add-on to a core component. As we jump back and forth between our desktops, laptops, and mobile devices more and more sync will become an even more important part of our browsing habits.
The journey for Tab Candy -- now called Tab Sets -- has been somewhat shorter. Still, Aza Raskin's pet project is now included out-of-the-box as well. You'll need to customize your Firefox toolbar and drag the Tab Sets button in if you want one-click access. If you'd rather not clutter up your toolbar, just press ctrl + alt +space to invoke the screen. Aza tells us that this will soon change to ctrl + space, so expect to see that switch in an upcoming FF4 build.
Tab Sets definitely makes Firefox feel a little bit more like a platform and a little less like "just" a browser. For organization junkies and those of you who use scores of tabs, it's likely to become a favorite feature.

Share your thoughts on Firefox 4.0!
Mozilla certainly seems to be steamrolling ahead toward the final release of Firefox 4, and we like what we've seen so far. Sync, Tab Sets, hardware acceleration support, Jetpack's no-restart add-ons, broader HTML5 support... How do you think the browser is shaping up? How does it compare to Chrome in your eyes? Will IE9 pose a significant challenge to Firefox?
Let's hear it -- but keep it friendly, it's Friday, y'all!
