Ah, viewers! Whether you love the fact that they exist, or hate the fact that we live in a world that necessitates them, file viewers are a vital part of any computer user's tool kit. The number of times I've seen sent a Microsoft Word file and not been able to open it... ugh!Fortunately I have Photoshop, but I'm sure there are lots of people out there that don't -- that's where PSD Viewer comes in! It's not fantastic -- check out the sample image after the break -- and boy is it slow, but if you don't own Photoshop... well, beggars can't be choosers, right?
You can't do much more than resize (which takes a veritable eternity) and rotate the image. The main feature is that you can export the PSD to a JPEG -- which you can then edit or manipulate in another package!
Again, it's not great, but it's better than nothing.
For some reason, PSD Viewer sometimes makes things look really weird. I have no idea why converts pictures to green and pink. It's not even inverted... it's just... very green and pink. It does look kinda cool though...
You may want to check out IfranView instead -- it's generally quite good at opening .PSDs (and tons of other formats).
In a pinch, PSD Viewer might save you... or it might not originally appeared on Download Squad on Mon, 28 Jun 2010 11:00:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.
